🎥 Stefan eyes progression

City has landed their fourth new summer signing in French Under-20 goalkeeper Stefan Bajic.

The 20-year-old arrives from French Ligue 2 outfit Pau, after beginning his career at Ligue 1 club AS Saint-Etienne, where he became their youngest debutant at the age of 17.

City’s newest shot-stopper is delighted to make the switch across the Channel and start life in a competitive Sky Bet Championship.

“I’m very happy to join Bristol City. I’m excited to discover a new club and a new championship - I think Bristol City is the best place for me to improve,” Bajic told Robins TV.

“I know English football because I have watched the Premier League and the Championship on TV. The Championship is a great league with a great intensity. It’s more physical and more technical, and I am sure it’s the best league for me to progress and achieve my goals.”

🤝 BONJOUR MON AMI

The 20-year-old will be able to call upon a familiar face in the City dressing room in French compatriot, Han-Noah Massengo, with whom he played with at Under-19 level. The midfielder has got him up to speed on life at City and the demands of the Sky Bet Championship.

“Han-Noah is a friend and I played with hi,” said Bajic. “When I saw that Bristol City wanted to sign me, I spoke with Han-Noah and he told me that it’s a great club, with a great infrastructure and staff.”

📈 BIG AMBITIONS

Bajic has great belief in his ability, as he should, and the young Frenchman is determined to take his game to another level during his time in BS3 and contribute to City’s future success on the pitch.

Currently completing the final stages of his recovery from minor wrist surgery, Bajic added: “My ambition is to the best, because I have a lot of dreams and it’s important to me to work with a great intensity in training to be ready for the game. When you have a chance to play in the game, my goal is to help the team to win.”
