Dan Bentley has praised the ‘fantastic work’ of the National Health Service, particularly during this unprecedented time.
Following the latest update from Boris Johnson, who announced the UK to now be in a state of lockdown to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, the City shot-stopper has encouraged supporters to adhere to the latest interventions.
The Prime Minister has said residents can only leave their house to purchase household necessities – as infrequently as possible – and exercise once per day outdoors, either alone or with other members of your household.
It’s also possible to leave the house for medical purposes, or to provide care for a vulnerable person, while people can travel to work providing it’s unavoidable.

Speaking to Robins TV, Bentley said: “I would just like to take this time to remind everyone to stay indoors as and when possible, continue to self-isolate and continue social distancing.
“Whether you’ve got symptoms or not, I think it’s important we all take the pressure off the NHS and allow them to focus on those of us who are most vulnerable and give them their upmost attention.
“The NHS do some fantastic work and I would like to make a point that we all really appreciate the work that they do.
“I hope everyone is staying active in a mental and physical capacity, particularly during this period of isolation, and if you need to reach out for that little bit of extra help, please do.
“Stay safe, continue to keep your hands clean and I hope to see you all back down at Ashton Gate soon when the football resumes.”
