Stalemate for O'Dowda's Republic of Ireland

Callum O'Dowda played 45 minutes in Republic of Ireland's 0-0 draw at home to Denmark.

He impressed in the opening half of the UEFA Nations League game, but he picked up a knock and was replaced by Enda Stevens at half-time.

The extent of O'Dowda's injury is as yet unclear.

The match at the Aviva Stadium saw Ireland pick up their first point of the competition and was attended by 41,220 supporters.

Martin O'Neill's side return to action when they host Wales on Tuesday night (October 16th, 7.45pm).

Youngsters Joe Morrell and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans also featured in Wales Under-21's 2-0 defeat to Romania Under-21s on Friday night.
