Squad update ahead of season finale

Nigel Pearson has not ruled out the possibility of three of his players returning to the matchday squad against Brentford this Saturday (May 8th, 12.30pm KO).

Tyreeq Bakinson, Zak Vyner and Danny Simpson were absent from the 4-1 defeat to Millwall but Manager Pearson has suggested they could be in line for action in the final game of the campaign against the Bees.

However, Famara Diedhiou will not be available, while Ádám Nagy will be missing from the squad due to personal reasons.

Pearson explained: “Hopefully Tyreeq and Zak will be back involved. Adam Nagy will not be involved as he has a family funeral back home.

“The family tried to put it off until the end of the season, but it’s not been possible. He’s had a lot of stress to shoulder personally, and he’s handled himself exceptionally well. We wish him and his family the best, but he won’t be available.”

City v Brentford will be streamed live on Robins TV from 12pm for all the build-up ahead of kick-off.
