🎥 Squad development 'really encouraging' – Pearson

With the international break now over, Nigel Pearson is looking forward to the return of Sky Bet Championship football this weekend (September 11th, 3pm).

The Robins welcome Preston North End to Ashton Gate on Saturday and with the squad in a “good mood”, the City boss is hoping they can produce a performance to match.

Pearson is encouraged by the way his players are continuing to develop and there’s a real feel-good factor in the camp going into the game against the Lilywhites.

Speaking to Robins TV in the build-up to the encounter, Pearson touched on the club’s recent transfer business, discussing George Tanner’s arrival in BS3 and the loan moves for Taylor Moore and Ryley Towler.

The manager commented on Tommy Conway’s injury, confirming the striker will be absent for “two to three months” after surgery on something that “needed cleaning up.”

Meanwhile, Pearson reflected on his attendance at City Women’s first home match of the Championship season against Lewes FC and he stressed the importance of community support with players recently visiting the Robins Foundation’s pan-disability football session.
