Ivan Sproule has appealed to City fans to help his Irish club following devastation from a recent storm.
Over 40 years of investment at Ardstraw FC in Tyrone – where ex-City winger Sproule is the manager – has been wrecked by the torrential rain and winds.
Sproule says the repair bill will set the Northern Irish third tier club back tens of thousands of pounds, funds they simply don’t have.
The storm had led to damage of the pitch, fencing, goalposts and floodlights, while the clubroom has been heavily flooded.
A crowdfunding page has been set up with the target of raising £10,000 for Ardstraw. Fans can help out by donating here.
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
