Bristol City Community Trust’s very first cohort of sports business entrepreneurs have arrived at Ashton Gate in preparation for the academic year.
The 11 students are currently embarking on a three week induction, before the Trust - in partnership with the University of the West of England - support them in gaining experience and learning from different aspects of the sports industry.
This specialised sports degree is designed for those with a passion for business and want to develop an in-depth knowledge for how to build, grow and sustain a sporting organisation.
Students will learn in a practice-led environment, be coached in teams, and work together on projects while attending structured learning sessions such as creative conversations and workshops.
There are no formal lectures. Regular 3 hour training sessions will be held with the team coach who will support and guide students’ team company, while mapping their learning journey in a contract that defines their path towards personal mastery.
This innovative course ensures students are confident, highly motivated, employable and resilient. It gives students valuable sports business skills and industry contact, so they can hit the ground running in their career.
For more information on this course, click here.
Alternatively, contact the Trust on 0117 963 0636 to book on to an education open evening on Monday, October 16th (7pm).
