Bristol City Women shot-stopper Sophie Baggaley has been named the Women’s PFA Bristol Street Motors Player of the Month for January.
Tanya Oxtoby’s side remained undefeated throughout January picking up valuable wins against Birmingham City Women, Yeovil Town Ladies and a point against table toppers Manchester City.
Baggaley only conceded twice in two-hundred and seventy minutes of action and kept a clean sheet in Bristol City Women’s victory over her former side, Birmingham City.
This award is Baggaley’s second PFA award of the season after being voted the first ever PFA Women’s Player of the Month back in September.
Sophie Baggaley said: “Thank you to the fans who voted for this award, there were some great players who were also nominated and very deserving of this award so I’m grateful for the fans’ support.
“It is great to see the performances of the squad recognised and for us to go the month unbeaten is a fantastic achievement.
“We’re looking to get better week-in, week-out and I know we are all excited to see how much further we can progress as we enter the business end of the season.
“Personally, I’m just trying to get better everyday in training and I’m grateful for the support of the players and the staff that push me to become the best player I can be.”
