Smith's AFC Fylde face play-off test

Jonny Smith is set to feature for AFC Fylde in tonight's Vanarama National League play-off tie.

AFC Fylde, where the City youngster is on loan, face off against Boreham Wood this evening, with a semi-final play-off place against Sutton United at stake.

Smith last completed 90 minutes in AFC Fylde's goalless draw at Wrexham at the weekend.

Tonight's match at Meadow Park kicks off at 7pm and will be screened live on BT Sport.

Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, Coasters boss Dave Challinor said: "These environments are unique but the good players, and the ones who are going to progress and play at a higher level, are the ones who thrive in that environment. They absorb the tension and put in good experiences."

Meanwhile, Jojo Wollacott's play-off hopes with Truro City ended on Wednesday night, after the White Tigers were beaten 3-1 by Hampton and Richmond Borough, after extra-time.

The keeper made a string of good saves after they took an eight-minute lead. However, Hampton and Richmond were level after half an hour of play and struck two goals in extra time to confirm their place in the next knockout tie.
