Korey Smith is rated “50/50” for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash at Ipswich Town.
The midfielder suffered a groin injury late in the 2-0 home defeat to Reading last Saturday.
It came at a point when City had already used all three substitutions and Smith battled on bravely to the final whistle.
“Korey is 50/50 at the moment,” boss Steve Cotterill told Bristol City Player HD.
There is better news with regards to Aston Villa loan defender Nathan Baker.
After suffering a back injury in the 1-1 draw at Preston North End, Baker missed out against Reading.
Cotterill reported: “Nathan is okay and will return to the squad, so we’re pleased with that.”
