Korey Smith is confident City will get their first points of the season when Leeds United visit Ashton Gate tonight (7.45pm).
City lost their opening two league encounter against Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford, despite producing encouraging displays that have pleased manager Steve Cotterill.
Former Oldham man Smith reiterated his boss’ thoughts, noting the Saturday’s performance was well received by the home faithful.
He told Bristol City Player HD: “We’ve been playing well. There’s been a couple of mistakes here and there but that’s football.
“The first two games were away so the fans may have worried we weren’t playing well and losing, but on the weekend they saw we were playing really well.
“You could tell that by the way they clapped us off at the end of the game and they really appreciated how we played and how hard we worked.
“I’m sure if we keep doing those things the results will turn and we’re going to go out and try and get that win tonight.”
Uwe Rosler’s Leeds have started the campaign with two draws against Burnley and Reading, with Cotterill attending the latter on Sunday.
The Whites haven’t been prolific in front of goal, but have been tight at the back something Smith is sure City will have to contend with.
He said: “We know that they’re solid as they’ve only conceded one goal in two games so we’ve got to break them down.
“We’ve done our homework as we always do. We really want to go out there and show people what we’re about but this time get the win.”
