Lee Johnson says he would love to work with Cole Skuse again one day.
The pair spent six seasons together in the midfield at Ashton Gate and have become good friends off the pitch too.
Yate-born Skuse, 31, has been with Ipswich Town ever since leaving City in 2013 and is ready to face up against his former employers tomorrow (3pm).
Speaking on BCTV about the Academy gradaute, head coach Johnson said: “Skusey is a great guy with a lovely family; I love him to bits.
“I’ve said before that I’d like to work with him again sometime in the future. He’s got every quality you’d want in a Bristol City human.
“I think he’ll go into coaching. He’s always been very professional and led by example.
“With his athleticism, he’ll probably play until he’s 37 or 38. He’s a very good player and one day in the future hopefully we’ll be able to get back at Bristol City.”
