Six City Players On International Duty

City have six players away during the international break on duty for their countries at a variety of age levels.

Below details their call-ups and the matches they'll be involved in.


Magnusson links up with his country’s national team as they continue their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign. After a 1-1 draw in Ukraine last month, Iceland play home games against Finland on October 6th and Turkey on October 9th.


The winger, twice capped by his country, has earned another senior call-up. The Irish host Georgia in 2018 World Cup qualifying on October 6th at the Aviva Stadium, before a second fixture in Moldova on October 9th.


As the striker looks to step up his fitness, he joins Sweden Under-21s for games in Estonia (October 6th) and at home to Croatia (October 10th).


On duty for England Under-21s for the first time. The 19-year-old Chelsea striker has 11 goals for his loan club, prompting this step up from Under-20 level. England Under-21s, managed by Aidy Boothroyd for the next two games following Gareth Southgate’s step up to the senior squad, face Kazakhstan (October 6th) and Bosnia & Herzegovina (October 11th).


The defender is in the latest England Under-20 squad for a four-team tournament in the north of England. Moore, who skippers the team, could play three games, against Netherlands (October 5th), Germany (October 7th) and USA (October 10th) in Oldham, Huddersfield and Rochdale respectively.
