Principal partner Shock Absorber has donated over one thousand items to be distributed to the local communities in Bristol and the surrounding areas.
The products are set to be distributed to women and girls across the south west over the coming weeks through community initiative as well as social media competitions.
The brand – who has supported both Bristol Bears Women and Bristol City Women for the last two seasons – has supplied Bristol Sport with a vast range of products such as sports bras and gym tops.
Shock Absorber is committed to utilising its partnership to continually educate both Bristol Sport’s women players and those in the community on the importance of wearing a proper sports bra.
Shock Absorber has conducted extensive research in partnership with The University of Portsmouth; finding breasts move up to 14cm when unsupported during exercise.
Head of Commercial and Hospitality Sales, Justine Kebby said: “Shock Absorber is continually innovating and creating quality products, which has put the brand at the forefront of the global sports bra industry. We’re therefore delighted to receive such a generous donation for our local communities.”
Olivia Capallera, Senior Product Manager at Hanesbrands UK & Ireland said: “We believe whatever their level, whatever their goal, women deserve sports bras of outstanding quality.
“We’re proud to have been the principal partner of both Bristol Sport’s women’s teams since 2019 and are looking forward to expanding our support further across local communities across the South West.”
