Sessegnon earns Young Lions call

City's loanee from Fulham will link up with Aidy Boothroyd's 23-man squad for the UEFA Under-21 EURO in Slovenia.

Sessegnon told Robins TV: "It's a big boost to go out and play with the Under-21s. It's a proud day for me and I hope there are many more opportunities to come.

"It raises my game, it's a big opportunity on the big stage and it brings out the best in players, so I look forward to it massively."

The group stage involving 16 nations takes place between March 24th-31st, with four group winners and four runners-up qualifying for the knockout phase to be jointly hosted by Hungary and Slovenia from May 31st to June 6th.

All England matches will be televised by Sky Sports as follows, with kick-off times (UK time) not clashing with the senior team fixtures on the same days.

• Thursday March 25th, 2pm – England v Switzerland, Koper
• Sunday March 28th, 8pm – Portugal v England, Ljubljana
• Wednesday March 31st, 5pm – Croatia v England, Koper

Sesegnon has featured 10 times for City this season.
