City have signed up SGS College youngster Antoine Semenyo, 17, on a two-year deal.
Originally from London, Semenyo moved to SGS – where the club’s Academy is based – to join up with their football programme.
City’s loans manager Brian Tinnion told bcfc.co.uk: “Given we’re both on the same site, it was felt important that the Academy built up a strong working relationship with the College.
“Subsequently, myself and Damian Butt (Academy head of recruitment) spotted Antoine playing for SGS and liked what we saw.
“He spent a short time on trial with us before putting pen to paper on a professional contract and we’re delighted to welcome him to the club.”
In his first appearance since signing the deal, Semenyo celebrated by grabbing a brace as City Under-18s thrashed Hull City 7-2 in the Professional Development League.
Fans are reminded that City Under-23s will play their Crystal Palace counterparts this Friday (September 22nd), rather than Monday, as originally scheduled.
The Professional Development League fixture will be played at Stoke Gifford Stadium, Filton, kick-off 7pm.
Elton John plays at Ashton Gate tonight. See below for all your concert travel information to help get fans to and from the stadium.
