Rodri eyeing Latics challenge

Sunday can’t come quickly enough for Rodri, with City set to host their second fixture in the Sky Bet Championship in four days.

The striker grabbed an assist on Wednesday night in his second appearance for the club since his arrival, before Josh Brownhill fired home City’s 98th minute winner against Charlton Athletic.

It was a night to remember for all and now Rodri is relishing returning to BS3 when City host Wigan Athletic on Sunday (October 27th, 1.30pm KO).

“This is good for us because when you win in your own stadium it is good and to play here again is good for us and for the confidence to get the three points.”

He said: “It was really fun [on Wednesday night] because we won for the team, for the fans and for everything our way.

“When you score it is good but when you score in the last minute you feel much better!”

And on a personal note, the forward believes there is more to come from himself.

He added: “I feel good, I’m getting better. I’m not 100 per cent but I will be.”

Tickets are still available for Sundays's Championship clash versus Wigan which has a Mates' Rates offer for season card holders!
