Robins Lotto quiz night proves to be a huge success

A bumper crowd of over 300 quiz participants helped raise in excess of £2400 for charity in this evening of trivia.

The evening - which was hosted by quiz master, pub-landlord and all-round funny man, Olly Slym - consisted of rounds on: heads & tails, general knowledge, geography, live music, sports, guess the player, cheese, cider, wealth and of course, Bristol City! In addition to this, a raffle was held for a range of exclusive Bristol City prizes.

As well as the over 300 strong crowd competing for the sought after Robins Lotto quiz night trophy, Bristol City players: Jack Hunt, Tommy Rowe, Jamie Paterson and Rene Gilmartin as well as a range of other Bristol City staff took part in the quiz.

Providing further entertainment and the melodies for the music round was the Bristol Brass Consortium.

Quiz team 'Niclas Assistason' claimed the coveted quiz night trophy and will enjoy hospitality at a City match of their choice as prize for finishing first.

City Goalkeeper, Rene Gilmartin told the Foundation: "It was a great event, full of banter and fun, but also one which raised vital funds for a great cause."

The evening raised a total of £2476 for Children's Hospice South West and the club's official charity, Bristol City Robins Foundation.
