Robins international watch

Three City players are on international duty in November.

There were friendlies and UEFA Nations League action for Callum O'Dowda, Ádám Nagy and Tomas Kalas.

We have kept track of how they get on:

Tomas Kalas

The City skipper was an unused substitute in Czech Republic's 1-0 friendly defeat to Germany, a warm-up ahead of their UEFA Nations League double-header.

Kalas (pictured) then completed 90 minutes in the Czech Republic's 1-0 Nations League Group F win over Israel in Plzeň on Sunday evening (November 15th).

Kalas would be involved against visiting Slovakia on Wednesday (November 18th) where he kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win.

Ádám Nagy

Last week Nagy helped Hungary qualify for the Euros with a dramatic 2-1 win over Iceland at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.

He then started for Hungary in their Nations League Group G match against Serbia which ended 1-1 and again against Turkey in midweek. He played the full 90 minutes, helping Hungary to a 2-0 win.

Callum O’Dowda

O'Dowda started for the Republic of Ireland in the 3-0 defeat to England at Wembley Stadium on Thursday (November 12th), playing 61 minutes.

Callum O’Dowda came on in the 82nd minute of Ireland’s 1-0 defeat to Nations League B Group 4 table-toppers Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday (November 15th).

The Republic went on to face Bulgaria at the Aviva Stadium though O'Dowda was not selected.

Meanwhile, Ireland Under-21s assistant coach Rene Gilmartin saw his team's hopes of going to next year’s UEFA finals ended after losing a must-win game with Iceland in Tallaght.

An injury time goal from Vladimar Thor Ingimundarson earned Iceland the victory that sealed their qualification at Ireland’s expense.

Ireland Under-21s went on to beat Luxembourg 2-1 in Wednesday's Group A qualifier.
