Robins Foundation launch new Shared Duty Members Club

The Foundation are delighted to launch this new initiative with Massey Cladding Solutions as first partner organisation.

This new initiative not only aims to increase cohesion between the corporate world and our community but also partner with other sports and young person-based organisations. Both corporate companies and community organisations can become members of this club.

Throughout the year members will be invited to a number of activations ranging from exclusive events through to engagement in community projects.

Shared Duty will work with companies to help them implement their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and employee engagement strategies. It will also provide voluntary opportunities within our community projects.

In addition to this, the new initiative will link community organisations together to help raise awareness and share good practice.

Massey Cladding Solutions will become the first partner company to join this new initiative.

Massey Cladding Solutions - a locally based roofing and cladding firm, carrying out bespoke, high-profile projects across the UK - have strong ties with Bristol Sport, having worked extensively on the redevelopment of Ashton Gate Stadium and now also on the development of the new training facilities for both Bristol City and Bristol Bears.

Joint Managing Director at Massey Cladding Solutions, Ben Massey, said, “We have admired what the Robins Foundation have been doing for many years now. This new Shared Duty initiative provides us with a great opportunity to really give something back to our local community.

"As a boy growing up in Knowle West I have experienced first-hand many of the barriers - which are still prevalent today – in stopping young people from achieving their full potential.

"It has been an ambition of my family for years now to reinvest in our local community and that is why we have chosen the Robins Foundation to be our headline charity."

Projects and Partnerships Manager at the Robins Foundation, James Edwards commented, “We believe that everybody and all organisations have something they can give to make our community a better place. That could be through time, expertise, opportunity or funding.

“Every Shared Duty partnership will be tailor made to suit each organisation. We will help to promote other community organisations and highlight the invaluable work that they carry out.

"We are delighted to welcome Massey Cladding Solutions as our first partner through our Shared Duty initiative. Ben and his team have already visited many of our projects and it’s clear that we share a vision and an ambition to improve lives in our local community.”

Like the majority of work at the Robins Foundation, this new initiative is completely free of charge. Potential members are simply required to come with an open mind and a passion to improve our local community.
