Robins Foundation degree students visit Yeo Valley

Robins Foundation Sports Business and Entrepreneurship degree students paid a visit to Yeo Valley HQ to mark the start of an exciting project with the company.

Students enrolled onto Bristol City Robins Foundation’s innovative Sports Business and Entrepreneurship degree level programme, will be partnering with Yeo Valley on an eight week ‘Client Project’. The project will see the students create a plan to maximise the brand opportunities presented by the company’s sponsorship of Bristol City Women FC. Students will then present their strategic marketing plan and report back to members of the Yeo Valley Marketing team and Robins Foundation staff.

To kick off this project over 20 students enrolled onto the Foundation’s degree programme were invited to Yeo Valley Head Quarters last week, where they were provided with more of an insight into Yeo Valley’s products and brand values, as well as a tour of their organic farm and the opportunity to sample some of their fantastic products.

Emily Salvidge, Head of Partnerships at Yeo Valley, commented, “We were really keen to support this programme as it combines a live project that has real relevance for our business.

"It was great to meet such an enthusiastic group of students and provide them with insight into the Yeo Valley brand. Now that we have set the project brief, we are looking forward to the next stage and seeing the responses from the students.’

Polly Wardle, Sports Business and Entrepreneurship programme leader said, “It’s been fantastic to work closely with Yeo Valley in the build up to this project.

"Any opportunity to work with sponsors and within a real-world environment is brilliant for our students and central to the methodology of the course.

"We’re really looking forward to seeing what the students produce and for them to build their network."

As part of the day students were given a tour around the stunning Yeo Valley farm.
