City twice fought from behind before clinching a late winner away to Sheffield United.
Vince Harper, pictured, struck late to secure the 3-2 victory for Trevor Challis' side, in what could be a confidence booster as it marked their first win for nine games.
The match began at lightning pace, with both sides on the scoresheet in the opening minutes: the Blades had taken the lead but Harper was on hand to equaliser as he turned in Sam Bell's cross.
The hosts took a 2-1 lead but while it lasted longer City fought back once more, courtesy of Bell.
The Blades did have the ball in the back of the net again but the referee stopped play to award a free kick. They piled on some pressure but were unable to find a third goal before substitute Joe Hall popped up to snatch a stoppage-time winner for City.
City Under-18s: Begovic, Taylor, Webb, Towler, Morton, Harrison, H Smith, Pearson, Bell, Mortimer, Harper.
