Report: QPR U23s 2-0 City U23s

Ten-men City were beaten in West London as QPR struck twice in the second half.

Khari Allen was dismissed late in the first-half for a professional foul and the hosts capitalised with the extra-man advantage.

Winger Armalindo Mema was the man to deal the damage with a brace after the break at Harlington.

City came out strongly but were behind just after the hour-mark when Mema linked up well with Manasse Mampala before calmly curling the ball round Will Buse.

City's shotstopper would deny Nathan Carlyle from close range but with the game petering out, Mampala cut in off the wing and struck a deflected shot past Buse late on.

The young Robins return to action when they host Millwall Under-23s in a week's time (Tuesday, December 22nd, 1pm KO).

City v QPR: Buse, Allen, Harper (C), Bell, Wood, Owers, Pearson, Benarous, Hinds, Kadji, Francois. Subs: Wiles-Richards, Henry, Williams, Thou.
