Report: Nottingham Forest U18s 3-0 Bristol City U18s

City Under-18s suffered their first defeat in four games against a strong Nottingham Forest side.

Trevor Challis’ side came up against another in-form team, with the hosts having won four of their previous five encounters, including a remarkable 6-5 win over Crystal Palace a week earlier. 

George Nurse should have opened the scoring early on when he was put clean through, but the City youngster failed to find the target. 

The opener came from the boot of Forest skipper Joe Re with a screamer from 30 yards. 

The home team then added a second goal from the penalty spot via hotshot Virgil Gomis before half-time. 

Yassine En-Neyah completed the scoring after the interval, running through to beat Lochlan Robertson in the City goal. 

Coach Challis said: “Forest are one of the strongest teams at this level and fully deserved their victory. 

“We had a chance at 0-0 and had we scored that it could have been a different story.”
