Report: Millwall Under-23s 0-0 Bristol City Under-23s

Bristol City Under-23s shared the honours 0-0 with Millwall at Calmont Road in the Professional Development League.

Luke Williams’ side were looking to bounce back from their defeat to Leeds United ten days ago, which had ended a three-match unbeaten run.

And they had their scoring chances with Tom Richards, Zac Smith and substitute Saikou Janneh all going close in the second half against a team second in the table.

In the end City needed Harvey Smith and Tom Harrison to counter the Millwall aerial threat keeper Alhaji Sesay to turn a header round the post and then smother a late chance.

City Under-23s are back in action against QPR Under-23s at City’s training ground at Failand Clevedon Road on Friday, September 21st (1pm).

City Under-23s: Sesay, Williams, Ali, Smith, Harrison, Day (Janneh half-time), Lemonheigh-Evans, Richards, Nurse, Pearson (Smith 72), Rees. Unused: Webb, Carey.
