Report: Millwall U23s 1-0 Bristol City U23s

City Under-23s conceded in stoppage time as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of their Millwall counterparts.

The decisive came deep into stoppage time as a free kick from the right was powered in by Isaac Olaofe from eight yards in the Professional Development League.

It was one of the rare attacks from the hosts at Dartford FC, where City probably did enough to secure another victory.

They went into the match on the back of an impressive run of eight wins from nine matches in the league.

Early on Jake Andrews, back from a red-hot loan spell at Guernsey FC, played in Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, but the forward fired wide.

Then in the second half Lemonheigh-Evans lashed a cross along the six-yard box, only for Shawn McCoulsky to fail to connect by a matter of inches.

Andrews also passed up a good opportunity as the game looked to be heading for a goalless stalemate.

That was until the late drama as a dangerous free kick into the area was driven past a helpless Jojo Wollacott by the boot of Olaofe.

City Under-23s: Wollacott, Harper, Baldwin, Challis, Kelly, McNulty, Morrell, Andrews (Hinds), Lemonheigh-Evans, Pring (J.Smith), McCoulsky.
