Report: Cardiff City U23s 0-2 Bristol City U23s

City Under-23s made it four wins in a row as they overcame Cardiff City 2-0 in South Wales.

Jonny Smith and Diego De Girolamo scored the goals to settle the Severnside derby at Cardiff City Stadium.

Smith broke the deadlock after 14 minutes, finishing off a fine solo run with a powerful finish into the corner of the net.

Cameron Coxe passed up a great chance for the hosts after half-time, but fired wide of the mark when well placed.

City then produced the killer goal just after the hour mark as De Girolamo found space in the box to fire home.

City have now won their last three Professional Development League matches and still have Gloucestershire Senior Challenge Cup and Central League Cup finals to play.

City Under-23s: Sesay, Harper, Harvey Smith, Kelly, Pring, Edwards (Nurse), Morrell, Dowling, J.Smith, De Girolamo (Akpobire), Hinds (Morton).
