Report: Bristol City U23s 0-4 Vancouver Whitecaps

City Under-23s were beaten 4-0 by tourists Vancouver Whitecaps in a friendly over in Cardiff.

Jamie McAllister rested a number of his players, promoting several members of the Under-18 squad for the game against the tourists.

Vancouver scored twice in the opening 12 minutes to take control, with Jordan Harvey finding the net on nine minutes, before Alphonso Davies’ strike moments later.

Davies added a third before half-time with a powerful finish after skilful play from Kekuta.

Nicolas Mezquida completed the scoring at the Vale complex in South Wales.

The game comes at the end of Vancouver’s stay in the UK for pre-season, which included a 4-0 win over Oxford United and a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Cardiff City.
