Report: Bristol City U18s 1-2 Crystal Palace U18s

City Under-18s were once again made to pay for their profligacy in front of goal as Crystal Palace ran out 2-1 winners in Filton.

League leaders Palace scored their winning goal ten minutes from time, but City could easily been out of sight by then.

“It’s the story for us at the moment,” said coach Trevor Challis. “It’s something we are working on to become better in both boxes because we’re creating lots of chances without putting them away, and then we’re getting undone in our defending.”

City fought back from a goal down as Harvey Smith headed in George Nurse’s corner kick.

However, despite City creating a host of opportunities, they were unable to make their dominance pay and Palace snatched victory from a set-piece with time ticking away.

City Under-18s: Sesay, Edwards, Nurse, Richards, Harvey Smith, Ali, Harper (Harry Smith), Reeves, Brock (Llewelyn), Rees, Akpobire (Mortimore).
