Report: Aston Villa Ladies 2 - 2 Bristol City Women

Bristol City Women go home with a draw after Villa stoppage-time equaliser.

Four second-half goals came in quick succession as the Vixens twice took the lead with strikes from Jodie Brett and Reading loanee Charlie Estcourt.

Aston Villa Ladies came back fighting after every goal when sub Tash Baptiste’s strike saw the back of the net and Beth Merrick’s last-gasp header brought the home side level.

The result denied City from equal league points with local rivals Yeovil who still lead WSL2.

Bristol City Women have less than a week to recover as they are on the road again to take on Sheffield FC on Saturday, July 2nd 6pm.
