Bristol City Women Development Squad suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of league leaders Arsenal Women at Hertfordshire University.
Both teams went into the game joint-top of the league, but Arsenal now sit top of the WSL Development League South after a 5-1 victory.
The hosts led 2-0 at the break, before a thunderous 30 yard strike from Welsh international Amina Vine early in the second-half got City Women back into the game.
That goal didn’t affect the outcome however, as Arsenal went on to score three more goals in the second-half, with Lauren James proving the key to Arsenal’s devastating attack.
Up next, the Development Squad face Oxford away on Sunday, December 10th in their last game before the Christmas break.
