Reilly is a Robin

Bristol City Women is delighted to announce the signing of Kirsten Reilly from Hibernian Ladies FC.

Reilly arrives at the SGS College Stoke Gifford Stadium after spending a year in Edinburgh with Hibs. Prior to her time in Scotland, Reilly attended and played for the University of West Alabama in the US.

The Scotswomen is Oxtoby’s eighth summer addition, increasing the depth of the City Women ranks and bolstering the Australian’s midfield options.

Reilly is looking forward to her first taste of action in a Bristol City shirt and is grateful to be given the opportunity to become a professional footballer.

“I’m really excited to get started here at Bristol City. It’s a big step up from the game in Scotland and it’s a great opportunity for me to become full-time and dream come true to now be a professional footballer.

“Everyone has been really welcoming and I’ve settled in well, it’s now about working hard in training and earning my opportunity to get on the pitch.

“I had heard good things from Abi Harrison about the club and working with Tanya, once speaking with her I knew I wanted to be involved and she’s been great with me over the first few days.

“To be given the opportunity to train and play full-time is only going to benefit me and my skillset, so I’m looking forward to working hard and improving which should allow me to make an impact on the pitch.

“The Barclays FAWSL is a very competitive league, it’s much faster so I’m excited to develop my game and hopefully experience it first hand.”
