Bobby Reid has praised team-mate Joe Bryan’s performance in Bristol City’s 2-1 away win at Nottingham Forest.
The duo came through the Academy together and were put together in the middle of head coach Lee Johnson’s midfield on Saturday.
More familiar to playing on the left, Bryan excelled in a central role, but Reid wasn’t surprised by his display.
“I’ve seen Joe play there before so I know he can do it,” he told Bristol City Player HD.
“I know he’s comfortable playing that role as he knows what to do.
“To be fair wherever he’s playing on the pitch, whether it’s the left or the middle, we can link up, which is good.”
City came from a goal down to defeat Forest and record their fourth win in five matches.
Reid, who replaced the injured Korey Smith in the starting XI, believes the team’s determination saw them come out victorious.
“We worked very hard and deserved the three points,” he said.
“We can’t go one down and think that’s it, start throwing long balls and change our play. We’ve got to keep doing what we do right and play the right way.
“We kept plugging away, were a threat going forward and it was only a matter of time until we scored - then we got the second.
“Everyone’s enjoying their football and working hard for each other. We’re playing a good style of football and that’s good for us.”
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
