Bobby Reid is rated a “50/50” doubt for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers (3pm).
The midfielder limped out of Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at QPR with a dead leg injury, which continues to cause him problems.
Head coach Lee Johnson said: “I’d say he is 50/50 at the moment as we stand.
“We’ll have to see how the haematoma settles down over the next few days ahead of the game.”
Johnson says Reid is the only doubt for Blackburn’s visit to BS3.
Adam Matthews completed his first 90 minutes of the season at QPR, replacing Mark Little, who was left out of the squad altogether.
Johnson added: “Mark was rushed back from a hamstring injury really and had played at Cardiff. He didn’t train after that and we didn’t want to push him further.
“We’ve now got Mark and Adam fit and the two of them are competing for that right-back spot.”
Tickets remain on sale for Saturday’s encounter, call 0117 963 0600 or buy online.
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
