🎥 Pring praise for Robins pathway

The defender has signed a deal that will keep him in BS3 until 2024 with a further year’s option.

Pring has impressed both the fans and his manager Nigel Pearson in a breakthrough season that has seen him make 20 appearances.

The 23-year-old joined City six years ago this month and has had eight loans in learning his trade at Guernsey, Merthyr, Aldershot, Hereford, Newport County, Cheltenham Town, Walsall and Portsmouth.

Pring told Robins TV: “Every single loan that I have been on has been a learning curve, I feel like it helped with my character building. My loan at Portsmouth was probably the best one as I was playing at a high level.”

Seven of the 11 players who started against Millwall came through City’s Academy and Pring added: “I think it’s massive as a young player knowing you have got that pathway here as you don’t get that at other clubs. We have got some excellent players here who are only 18 and 19-years-old.”
