Preview: Yeovil Town Ladies v Bristol City Women

Bristol City Women return to Continental Tyres Cup action against Yeovil Town Ladies today at Taunton Town FC (kick-off 7:45pm).

The Vixens will look to bounce back from a difficult game last weekend against Manchester City Women, who are currently top of WSL 1.

Yeovil are yet to win a game this season, they were defeated last weekend by Everton.

Both teams must win today’s encounter to have any chance of progressing in the Continental Tyres Cup.

Previous Meeting

The teams last met in September with Bristol City Women coming out on top, a first half strike from Loren Dykes was enough to get the win for the Vixens in tough conditions at the Stoke Gifford Stadium.

City Women also had success against the Glovers in the Spring Series, winning 3-2 at Taunton Town FC back in May.

The Vixens will be looking for a third straight win over their West Country rivals today.

One to watch – Jessie Jones

Jessie is a bright young prospect who came through the Devon Centre of Excellence.

She is currently part of the England Under-19 squad, having previously represented England at Under-16, 17 and 18 level.
