City take on the Terriers at Ashton Gate this Saturday.
It's Huddersfield's first return to BS3 since the sides' Emirates FA Cup tie in January, one where the then-Premier League outfit were beaten 1-0 thanks to Josh Brownhill's second-half strike.
Huddersfield would have hoped to leave their top-flight struggles behind them, following relegation to the Championship, though their early form in 2019/20 posed questions.
A managerial shuffle followed with Danny Cowley, joined by brother Nicky as his assistant, appointed in September and wins against the likes of Brentford, Hull and Tuesday night's draw with Swansea show signs of improvement, not forgetting they have lost only one in their last 10 matches.
So they arrive in Bristol full of hunger though know they take on a City side keen to bounce back from Wednesday's defeat at The Hawthorns, a Robins team who are also on a seven-game unbeaten run at home.
Bristol City v Huddersfield:

FORM - Last five games:

Assistant Head Coach Jamie McAllister has been talking of City's ability to bounce back as they go in search of using home form to their advantage this weekend and put Wednesday night's defeat behind them.

A 27-minute hat-trick from ‘Super’ Bob Taylor helped City thump the Terriers, who were reduced to ten men late on through Ken Doherty’s red card.
A minute’s silence was held before kick-off with both teams paying their respects to those killed in the Hillsborough disaster, and once the action was under way it was City who were quickest off the blocks.
Taylor was off the mark after only two minutes and was up-ended shortly after with Alan Walsh tucking away the resulting penalty. Two goals just a minute apart from Mark Gavin and Taylor put City 4-0 up with only 16 minutes on the clock.
Huddersfield were stunned but there afternoon would soon get worse with City 5-0 ahead before half an hour of play, this one courtesy of Taylor once more as he sealed his hat-trick.
Craig Maskell would score a consolation goal for Huddersfield in the second half but there was still time for Steve McClaren to grab City’s sixth to round off a super day in BS3.
Bristol City XI: Waugh, Honor, Bailey, Newman, Pender, Gavin, McClaren, Galliers, Taylor, Walsh, Turner.
