Bristol City Women begin their WSL 1 campaign this Sunday against Chelsea at Kingsmeadow Stadium (12:30pm).
The game will be streamed live on the BBC Sport Website.
Previous meeting
The teams previously met during the Spring Series, with Chelsea running out victorious at the Stoke Gifford Stadium on a glorious May evening.
Chelsea eventually ran out Spring Series winners and will look to continue that form into the 17/18 campaign.
One to watch – Fran Kirby
Despite struggling with long term knee and ankle injuries which kept her out for the best part of a year prior to the Spring Series, Kirby was in electric form for her club side scoring six goals in five games.
This form saw her win the golden boot during the tournament, which she recently collected during the FA Women’s Football Awards.
Most recently, Kirby was a key player in the Lionesses Euro success, nearing the top of the assist charts in the tournament.
