BOLTON WANDERERS
Struggling on and off the field, Bolton are almost destined for League One football next season. The Trotters prop up the Sky Bet Championship and are 11 points from safety. Boss Neil Lennon left by mutual consent on Tuesday, while influential midfielder Liam Feeney joined Ipswich Town on loan. Striker Gary Madine has goals this season, while former City target Zach Clough has four to his name. 

INTERIM MANAGER
Jimmy Phillips - Former Bolton player who took over as interim manager for the second time following Neil Lennon’s departure in midweek. In his first spell, Phillips oversaw a 3-2 win over City at the Reebok Stadium in 2012. The 50-year-old’s second period as caretaker will see him debutise in the dugout against City once more tomorrow, and with Bolton 11 points off safety he will need a similar result. 

STAR MAN
Zach Clough - Bolton academy graduate who made a scoring debut for the Trotters in an FA Cup third round win over Wigan Athletic in 2015. The 21-year-old also scored on his league debut, notching two in a 2-2 draw with Wolves. Clough was subject to strong interest in the January transfer window with City tabling a large offer, but the forward turned down the chance to move to Ashton Gate opting to stay with his beloved hometown side. 

OFFICIALS
Christopher Sarginson is appointed as the man in the middle. Paul Hobday and Adrian Tranter will assist him, and Wayne Barratt will be the fourth official.

LAST TIME OUT
Bolton 0-0 Bristol City - Frank Fielding saved Shola Ameobi’s second-half penalty as City and Bolton ended goalless at the Macron. City almost went ahead as Kieran Agard hit the top of the crossbar in a very uneventful first half. The second period followed suit with Ameobi’s spot-kick miss and disallowed goal proving the only action.
