Preview: Barnsley (H)

City sit within a point of the play-off places as they get set to welcome Barnsley to Ashton Gate this weekend.

The Robins can make it back-to-back league wins with three points against Gerhard Struber's Tykes, who despite an upturn in form recently, find themselves involved in a relegation battle.

They will head to BS3 with the chance to climb out of the bottom three but Lee Johnson's men also have their sights set on a top six return should results go their way.

Tickets remain on sale up until kick-off for Saturday's clash with Barnsley in BS3.

Club news

Word from the camp

Dean Holden and Ádám Nagy spoke to Robins TV and the gathered media ahead of Saturday's fixture.

Assistant Head Coach Holden is looking forward to playing at home and wants Ashton Gate to be a place feared by City's opponents.

Meanwhile, midfielder Nagy has been speaking about his adjustment to life in BS3, as well as the closeness of the squad as they go in search of back-to-back wins.

Oakwell
Scorer: Diédhiou 31, Brownhill 90+2
Att: 12,236

Josh Brownhill’s injury-time header ensured a share of the points against his former club at Oakwell.

Barnsley raced into an early lead through Kieffer Moore’s header moments after controversial calls for Bailey Wright to be shown a red card at a chilly Oakwell.

However, City continued with 11 men and Famara Diédhiou’s screamer from the edge of the box kept City in the game.

Brad Potts tapped the hosts ahead late on but there was still time for Brownhill to score from Joe Bryan's cross to make it 2-2 at the death.

Bristol City XI: Fielding, Baker, Bryan, Wright, Pisano, Pack, Paterson, Brownhill, Smith, Diedhiou, Reid.
