Press Conference: Pemberton Pre-Derby County

City assistant head coach John Pemberton met with the media ahead of the Sky Bet Championship clash with Derby County at Pride Park on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

- Pemberton says no midweek match has been beneficial for the team

- Assistant coach says result was more important than the performance, which he admits "wasn't brilliant"

- Pemberton admits the team will need to play better at Derby

- Coach believes how City perform out of possession will be crucial

- Pemberton watched Derby's cup replay against Leicester but insists the team City will face won't resemble that one

- Steve McClaren has "revitalised" Derby, adds Pemberton

- Pemberton challenges the players to begin a positive run of form, after the last two matches

- City have "a couple of bumps and bruises" but nothing serious

- Pemberton was pleased to see Adam Matthews and Korey Smith come through the midweek friendly match fine
