Press Conference: Johnson Pre-Wolves

City head coach Lee Johnson met with the media ahead of the Boxing Day Sky Bet Championship clash with Wolves at Molineux (3pm).

Here’s what he had to say…

- Frank Fielding and Korey Smith are both rated 50/50 for the game, with both players suffering the same rib injury

- Johnson believes the January transfer window comes at the right time for City, but points out that 28-day loans are no longer an option under new rules

- Boss reiterates need to add “one or two” new faces in January

- Head coach thanks supporters for their continued backing despite difficult recent run of results

- Johnson calls for perspective: "We're still in a better position than we were this time last year”

- Head coach believes City and Wolves are two teams similar in quality, saying the game will come down to whether his side’s youthful legs can outplay the hosts’ experience

- Johnson vows to stick to his principles and insists the playing philosophy will not change

- Head coach says City must compromise in the transfer market in order to get value for money

- Boss underlines importance of charity work ahead of the club’s visit to Children’s Hospice South West at Charlton Farm
