City head coach Lee Johnson met with the media ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship trip to Reading (3pm).
Here’s what he had to say…
- Luke Freeman returned to training earlier this week
- Joel Ekstrand had fluid drained from his knee ten days ago and now has an ankle problem
- City aimed to play a number of first-team squad members in Monday's Under-23 game, which was postponed
- Johnson adds: "We've had some great days at Reading. I recall a big crowd and a 2-0 win when (Cole) Skuse supposedly scored a goal."
- Head coach delighted that more than 3,000 City fans will be at the Madejski, adding: "The fans have been brilliant for us."
- City boss says training sessions have been "up there with the best" this week
- Johnson says Dean Holden's arrival on the coaching staff has helped him get involved with more individual sessions
- Head coach says Reading play an expansive game with lots of passes under Jaap Stam
- Johnson says he spoke with Adam Matthews this week about ensuring the defender "gets to 100% in his own mind"
