The iconic colours and design, which will carry the club’s new sponsor MansionBet (find out more about our new front of shirt partner here), are inspired by the shirt worn in 1994/95 when the Robins secured a memorable 1-0 FA Cup third round victory at Liverpool, courtesy of Brian Tinnion’s sweetly struck strike.

New signing Joe Williams models the away kit

Since that memorable night in Liverpool, the famous purple and lime colours reappeared for the club’s 2014/15 double-winning season and was then voted the best kit in the English Football League for the 2017/18 campaign. The colours were last worn in 2018/19 as the club’s third kit.

The shirt, designed in conjunction with the club’s new technical partner hummel, has a textured purple base colour with a lime green collar, featuring a purple and white stripe.

hummel’s trademark chevrons run across the shoulder and sleeves, leading to a lime trim on the cuff. The shirt is accompanied by lime shorts and white socks.

The away shirt includes bespoke semaphore flags across the inner neck. These flags spell ‘Bristol City Football Club’ in maritime flag alphabet, referencing the city’s rich nautical heritage.

The away strip takes advantage of hummel’s ZEROH20 dry-dye technology, meaning the kit is more sustainable than ever to produce.

The ground-breaking technology ensures there is zero water consumption, zero wastewater and a 50% reduction in energy consumption during the production process. This means that the 25 litres of fresh clean water normally required to dye just one single shirt is saved for each shirt produced.

Shirt prices start at £40 for kids and £50 for adults.

2020/21 Season Card holders can accrue 10% Rewards when purchasing the shirt. Details of the 2020/21 Rewards scheme for Season Card holders will be announced in due course including the award of start-up balances. Please remember to use your Bristol Sport Club Account when purchasing online or present your supporter I.D when purchasing in-store.

Meanwhile, all Under-12 2020/21 Season Card holders will receive a free shirt – as they have done in recent campaigns – but this only applies to the 2020/21 home shirt.

Supporters who pre-order the shirt will receive their delivery by the end of September.
