Pledgeball returns for Terriers clash

It’s a Pledgeball Derby! Bristol City’s home game on 18th December sees the Robins take on Huddersfield Town.
Whilst teams compete on the pitch, fans will be competing off the pitch: which team of fans will pledge to save the most carbon emissions?
The competition is fierce for this fixture, with both clubs promoting Pledgeball and encouraging their fans to pledge, both to win the fixture and to win club prizes.
Pledgeball is a Bristol-based initative that rallies football fans to bring about change to help to preserve our planet. They encourage football fans to make sustainable lifestyle pledges in support of their team.
Each fixture, Robins fans face the opposition’s fans in a ‘Pledge Off’. The amount of carbon emissions pledged to be saved by Bristol City fans determines whether they win the ‘Pledge Off’, and ultimately where they stand in the Pledgeball League.
Current Pledgeball League standings: Bristol City sit top of the Pledgeball League, having pledged to save 143,239kg of carbon emissions per year.
Huddersfield Town sit at 7th in the Pledgeball League, having pledged to save 81,611kg of carbon emissions per year.

Katie Cross, Founder of Pledgeball, said: "I’m excited for this Pledgeball derby - with both teams publicising it there is stiff competition. Robins fans are easily within reach of the top spot so it’d be great to see them top the table just before Christmas.
"The collective impact of the Robins fans is significant, both by directly reducing emissions and also by influencing other Pledgeball partners that are coming on board. As the first professional club to have partnered with Pledgeball, I would love to see the Robins dominating the Pledgeball League."
