Supporters have voted goalkeeper Dan Bentley as their Player of the Year.
He won 70 per cent of the votes at this year’s Supporters Club & Trust awards, after making 45 appearances in all competitions and a number of standout saves among a total of 117+ plus over the course of the campaign.
In particular, the keeper looks back to his performance away to Nottingham Forest, which City won 2-1 back in October, as the shotstopper had his fair amount of work to do to deny Forest a comeback.
Among many more noteworthy saves is his penalty save against Barry Bannan away at Sheffield Wednesday which helped City earn a 1-1 draw.
Antoine Semenyo was voted City’s Young Player of the Year during a campaign where he established himself as a more regular member of the first team squad.
He went on to make 50 appearances this season, scoring five goals in all competitions. He also led the club’s assist tally with seven assists.
Midfielder Han-Noah Massengo was named the PFA Community Champion for his work during last year’s lockdown, where he helped with food deliveries for vulnerable people. He supplied countless food and essential goods which were transported across the city, as well as brand new sportswear which the Robins Foundation were able to give to youngsters.
Nahki Wells won the 'Golden Boot' for the top goalscorer with 11 goals.
It was a triple award for City Women striker Ebony Salmon, who also won the PFA Community Champion award after her role with students during Black History Month to complement her standout year.
Salmon, now an England international after her call-up back in February, scooped both the Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards too. The 20-year-old has scored 10 goals, six in the league and four en route to City’s road to the Conti-Cup final.
England international and World Cup winner, Sophie Halhead will join the Bears Women board ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
