Eros Pisano will leave City this summer after coming to the end of his contract.
The Italian defender played 34 times for City after joining from Verona in July 2017, helping the Robins secure an eighth-place finish in the 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship – their highest finish in 11 years.
A crowd favourite, serenaded from the stands with ‘Pisa, Pisa, Pisano’, he scored against Brentford back in December before netting the winner against Blackburn Rovers in February.
City Head Coach Lee Johnson said: “Eros has been a pleasure to work with and has added to the squad both on and off the field. I know he and his family have enjoyed their time at City and in Bristol and we wish him all the best.”
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Stefan Marinovic has been released following the end of the short-term contract that saw him make one appearance after arriving in March, following injuries to Fielding and Niki Mäenpää.
