Pilgrims boost cup crowd

A crowd of over 6,000 is already guaranteed for tomorrow night’s Carabao Cup first round tie with Plymouth Argyle – boosted by a large travelling contingent.

The Pilgrims will be backed by around 1,700 supporters in the Atyeo Stand, in what is a relatively short trip for the Devon club.

Just over 4,000 tickets have been sold to home supporters to date and they remain on general sale priced just £11 for adults and £6 for concessions (including fees).

Supporters will also be able to pay on the night, although it is recommended to purchase in advance where possible to avoid queues.

Last season City reached the fourth round of the competition for the first time since the 1980s.

Tickets remain on general sale for the forthcoming away trips to Birmingham City and Brentford.

Lee Johnson’s men head to St Andrew’s this Saturday (August 12th, 3pm) and will be backed by more than 1,450 supporters.

Three days later, on Tuesday, August 15th (7.45pm), City visit Brentford’s Griffin Park. To date, around 850 tickets have been snapped up by travelling fans.
