🎥 Pearson wants his side to find a solution

Nigel Pearson wants his side to find a solution to the soft goals they've been conceding as City host Middlesbrough at Ashton Gate on Saturday (3pm).

The Robins host Middlesbrough at Ashton Gate this weekend in a search of their fifth consecutive home league win.

After conceding some soft goals of late Pearson wants his side to bounce back and find a solution as they prepare to take on Chris Wilder's side who sit in 6th.

Speaking to Robins TV, Pearson said: “We need wins, our form has been a bit sketchy and performances haven't been too bad but individual mistakes have cost us dearly in games.

"Unfortunately we have had a few setbacks with injuries which means players have had to play through difficult spells of form on a personal level but the mood is really good.

"We need to persevere and knuckle down to work through it to find a solution, it's frustrating but it clarifies where we are.

"The young players that have broke into the side this year have played with an awful lot of maturity and at times they have been our best players. I think there has been a lot of progress with how players have developed on an individual level and the ability to cope in what is a very tough league."

On facing Middlesbrough, Pearson added: "Curtis and I know Middlesbrough very well, Chris Wilder is a good manager and they're in good form so we know we have to be at our best."

Pearson also spoke about the importance of showing appreciation to the Ashton Gate Eight and the progress both Matty James and Rob Atkinson are making in their recovery from injury.
