🎥 Pearson urges City to be brave with the ball

Nigel Pearson has challenged his side to be brave on the ball and bring variety to their game when they take on Queens Park Rangers in BS3 on Thursday night (7:45pm).

Thursday's fixture will the second time the two sides have met this season after Nahki Wells' added-time strike claimed a dramatic three points at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

After City's Boxing Day clash with Luton was postponed, Pearson's side head into this fixture hoping to start the second half of their season with a victory at Ashton Gate.

Speaking to Robins TV, Pearson said: "We need to be brave enough to manage the ball. To get the best out of ourselves we have to be able to mix our game up and sometimes play through the thirds.

"They (QPR) are a good team and Mark (Warburton) has got them well organised. They play a good brand of football and have good players at their disposal, we have to make sure we are at our best."

The City manager also discussed how it's important that his side pick up points in both home fixtures either side of the New Year.
